Turkish Nazar ~Evil Eye Protection ~Handcrafted Glass Amulet

I love that the sphere of eyes is not limited to one direction but has full spectrum view (always looking as well as watching).The silver foil on the glass ball is unique and the light hints through the blue when hanging in the light. This is protection agains "evil eye" and known as a Turkish Nazar Amulet.  
 
My favorite book on the Evil Eye, is "The Evil Eye- a Classic Account of an Ancient Superstition". This book covers the meaning, the origins, the broad history, the types of evil eye, the afflictions, from an Egyptian, Greek, Roman (and other culture's) perspective. Amulets, folklore, chams, spells..... it's all covered.
 
Measures just over 2 inches across and about 2 1/2 inches in height due to the Cap supporting the chain. Chain is approximately 8 inches long.
